Wonderful African Art....

A dear African art friend has send me some wonderful native drawings/paintings. They are made with an unique and special technique with oil colours on paper.
His name is Olalekan Oyebowale (Lekan) from Osogbo, Osun State, Nigeria and he is such a gifted proffesional art painter:

Below you can see photos of the original paintings that I have. The original paintings are for sale for DKK500 per piece, plus shipping costs.
If you are interested, please leave me a comment with your email address and I will contact you.

Starting up again..........

After finishing school after an ok exam on a Friday, I went down with a sore throat on the Saturday
Fourteen days later - now - feeling much better and ready for Christmas preparations. Well - better late than never.

Christmas decorations made:

Cloves in an orange is totally the smell of Christmas for me - spicy and sweet.

I also made different cookies today: Vanilla wreaths and gingerbread nuts and cake figurines - all parts of my Christmas:

Indian Hindu wedding.....

These days it is one year since my husband and I went to India to participate in a Hindu wedding. It was one of the greatest experiences of my life. We were together with so many wonderful people and met such a great hospitality.
Thank you Swathi and Sarath for giving us these fantastic memories

Quick hair accessories.....

Saturday morning I decided what to wear at the big yearly party in the company. The last one.
In my 20 years I have only missed one af these great parties.
This time we were approx. 800 people and with great entertainment by Sko og Torp and Sweethearts.

Well... Saturday morning I decided what to wear and found out that I needed something for my hair. The dress was black with lilac coloured wide edge bands.

Here is the result. The pics are taken Sunday morning - the day after the party and my hair is very little styled. But at least no hangover under the hair :-)

Sorry for the blurred quality of the pics

The dress is finished....

and so is one more :-)

I am not totally sure of the size yet. The yarn I used is not the same as in the recipe, so I had to improvise. I need to measure up the dress to state the size :-)

This is dress no. 2 - the pattern is slightly different:
